Prof. Dr. Jayasheela M Goni

The author Prof. Dr. Jayasheela M Goni has a rich academic background and extensive experience in the field of Ayurveda. She completed her undergraduate studies in 1994, her post-graduation from Government Ayurvedic Medical College Bengaluru in 1999 and PhD from Parul University Gujarat in 2022. Currently she serves as a Professor at KLE's Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Belagavi, Karnataka, India. She was a recognized PG guide and a member of the PG panel of examiners at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). Over the years, she has guided 35 PG scholars and evaluated research proposals for RGUHS Karnataka's advanced research wing in Bengaluru. She has also presented numerous papers at national, international, and state-level seminars. Her research articles have been published in various national and international journals. Additionally, she serves as an examiner and PhD thesis evaluator for Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS). The author has received recognition for her work, including an award from Gujarat Board of Ayurvedic and Unani system of Medicine Gujarat. Furthermore, the author has developed an Android mobile application to assist research scholars in referencing research work related to leeches, earning her recognition and an award from Parul University for her innovative idea. She has also mentored a team of students under the Gujarat Student Startup and Innovation Hub in the Mind to Market (M2M) project, securing financial grants for their innovation funded by the Government of Gujarat.
