Ayurvedic surgeon and MS scholar
Dr. Nikhil Nimba Girase is a dedicated Ayurvedic surgeon with a profound interest in integrating traditional wisdom with modern surgical practices. He completed his undergraduate studies (BAMS) at Smt. K.C. Ajmera Ayurvedic College, Deopur, Dhule, where he built a strong foundation in Ayurveda. Currently, he is a second-year MS scholar in Shalya Tantra (General Surgery - Ayurveda) at the prestigious Parul Institute of Ayurveda, Parul University, Limda, Vadodara. His deep-seated interest in surgical techniques, particularly the traditional art of Agnikarma (cauterization) and its modern adaptations, forms the core of his work. Bridging the gap between ancient Ayurvedic surgical approaches and contemporary medical advancements, he focuses on innovative solutions for improved patient outcomes. Dr. Nikhil's dedication to exploring the evolution of cautery and its transformative role in surgery is reflected in his work, Healing Through Heat: The Evolution of Cautery in Surgery, where he combines academic rigor with clinical experience to present a compelling narrative on this age- old yet continually relevant practice.
