C. Ram

The author was born on 07 Aug 1940 at Kannauj Uttar Pradesh. He obtained his degree of BSc Agriculture in 1961 from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology ( then Govt Agricultural College Kanpur). C Ram served for a year in 1961- 62 in Soil Conservation Research & Training Centre at Rahman Khera Lucknow, a department of Agriculture of Uttar Pradesh. Later on, he was appointed as a Farms Officer in Military Farms through Union Public Service Commission under the Ministry of Defence. The author worked as a Commanding Officer on various Military Farms and also served as a Staff Officer in all the Command Head Quarters except Head Quarters Eastern Command Calcutta. He retired as an Additional Director of Military Farms from Head Quarters Central command ( Farms) Lucknow in Aug 2000 and settled down at Lucknow. C Ram is a keen Golfer and still plays Golf in his advanced age of 83 years on Golf Cart. He is a fanatic environmentalist and is very much attached to the nature. Apart from golfing, the author has got impassioned hobby of Gardening & Kitchen Gardening. He is a devoted Kakun (Millets) feeder to Sparrows in specifically provided sufficient space in his front garden, where the Doves and Squirrels also join the fete at times. The author is a habitual Traveller and has travelled most of the important destinations of our country including many National Parks. After his retirement, he travelled 18 countries of Europe including England, East and West Coast of USA, Australia, New Zee Laud, Singapore, Dubai and Ukraine.
